THankful Thursday...7.29.10

This week we started buckling down on our school stuff.....So far its been awesome!

I a so thankful for smooth morning schedules... for kids who do chores without complaining... for kids who do school work on their own time so they can have as much free time as possible...because they KNOW they have to do work first.. I am thankful that we school in such a way that I dont worry about whether my kiddos are on the "same level" as all the other kids....I have confidence in the young people they are becoming... will be....

I am so thankful for air conditioning... because these last few weeks... man has it been HOT!! Now, I have ALWAYS been one to like the hot better than cold.... thats why we live down in the valley instead of up in the mountains.. but sheesh... it can be too hot. Without the AC these last few weeks... I can honestly say I have felt a few times that if I couldn't cool down I was gonna lay down and die!! lol..

What are you thankful for this week?

Family Gem... Persistent Parenting

Persistent, Daily Parenting Will Bring Powerful Rewards

"Parents must bring light and truth into their homes by one family prayer, one scripture study session, one family home evening, one book read aloud, one song, and one family meal at a time. They know that the influence of righteous, conscientious, persistent, daily parenting is among the most powerful and sustaining forces for good in the world."

Monday Madness 7.26.10

This weeks schedule is shaping up nicely so far... lol... on the brink of crazy but busy enough to not be bored..

So far it goes like this:

Mon- AZWP meet and greet

Tues- Hornet Team/parent Meeting

Wed- FT with HS group

Thur- NB photo session

Fri- Leave for Flagstaff!!

I am hoping to actually make it there... its a girls weekend out to Flag... and I was invited by one of my oldest friends to go with her and her family. Theres much to do between now and then though. I want to leave with the laundry all done, the RV clean, groceries done and such... so the kids and hubby can have a good weekend and not have to worry about doing any chores.

We are working on reading and using our R&WNUSH books and doing school work 3 days out of the week. I figure if we increase the amount of study those three days.. it evens out to what we would have covered the other two days anyways.... and this sort of schedule fits our family better right now...

I would love to hear what your week looks like so far!!
